Professional Garden Care and Maintenance in North Wales
"Nurturing north wales, one garden at a time"
We didn’t start out as typical gardeners. Originally, we both worked in engineering. While we loved the problem-solving and the precise, technical nature of the work, we quickly realized that a cramped office environment just wasn't for us. Our true passion was always outdoors, spending every spare minute working in our own gardens as a hobby.
To turn that passion into a career, we transitioned into grounds maintenance, managing large local campsites across Anglesey and Gwynedd. This is where we truly honed our craft—handling everything from heavy-duty groundskeeping to commercial-scale lawn care and planting.
In 2024, backed by over 10 years of combined practical experience as professional groundskeepers, we decided to take the plunge. We combined our engineering eye for detail with our commercial groundskeeping skills to set up Slate & Soil in the beginning of 2024 .
Today, when you hire Slate and Soil, you are working directly with us—Luke and Steph. We bring that hardworking, professional attitude straight to your garden, treating your outdoor space with the exact same pride, care, and energy we gave to the spaces that inspired us to start.
